Extras

* Single Parent families

Single parent families are most welcome to attend the retreat and we will make sure

you have the opportunity to attend a variety of classes. One option is to have a buddy

system, teaming up with a friend to share the childminding duties so that one parent

minds two kids for one session, and then you swap. Lila's mother and Mother-in-law

will also be present as some extra helping hands for babysitting. We are also considering

inviting an official 'babysitter' on the retreat that would be available for hire at certain

times during the day - please let Lila know if you are interested in this option.

* If you choose to stay in a Fisherman's surf shack or Budget cabin, you will need

to bring your own linen – resort linen is available at a small extra cost for those flying in.

* The resort has only two portacots for hire at $10 each.

If possible, we ask you to bring the following:

* A portable/travel highchair if you need one for smaller children. The resort only

has two available in the dining area which will be in big demand.

* Toys, books games and dress-up clothes to share in our kid’s space,

as many as possible!

* Bikes, scooters and prams – there are great tracks and safe roads to ride around on. Bike hire is available at the resort. The road to the children's beach at the lake is paved almost the whole way so it is suitable for prams.

* Any snacks or drinks needed outside of breakfast, lunch and dinner, including tea/coffee. Filtered water is always available. If the Sattvic vegetarian food provided doesn’t suit your whole family, all cabins have their own kitchen and if you are camping you will have access to the Camp Kitchen to easily supplement your diet.

* Yoga mats and props. Mats, blocks and bolsters can be rented for a small cost from Lila if arranged in advance.

* A large cushion each to sit on for the welcome circle, and meditation sessions. Lila will bring some spare cushions for those flying in.

* Musical instruments for kirtan

* Shakers, drums and instruments for kids to play in their music class.

* A large scarf or handkerchief if possible – also for kid’s music class.

* Hats, swimmers, suncream, beach toys and beach chairs/umbrellas for shade.

* Torch for walking to and from the yoga shala at night.

Massage

Lila Kirtana has a Diploma in Remedial Massage and offers a relaxing and soothing oil massage with fragrant essences.

Lila works as a yoga teacher and trainer, and has spent time living in yoga ashrams in Australia and India. Her lifestyle has been deeply influenced by her own yoga and meditation practice, and by working with people she hopes to pass on that inspiration and use the massage and yoga to bring about balance, calm and release of tension, pain and energetic stagnation.

Swedish Relaxation is simply soothing, blissful and stress-releasing, with long massage strokes.

Deep Tissue massage works deeply into the muscle fibres to release knots and areas of tension, and will also focus on trigger points for deep release. This massage is most preferred by yogis and those who can handle strong, slow pressure.

Lymphatic drainage is a detoxification massage applied to the front of the body, working to encourage the lymphatic fluids to drain through the lymph nodes. The receiver should be dressed in yoga clothes and no oil is used. This is a very light and gentle massage applied to the skin as opposed to the deeper muscles, and is deeply hypnotic and relaxing.

Other therapists are available by arrangement prior to the retreat that can offer Cranio-sacral, Bowen, Kinesiology, Shiatsu and Energy Healing treatments.
